· Fire alarm sounds · All persons leave classroom · All doors are closed · Teacher takes red Safety Plan binder (including class list) · Class walks quietly and lines up in assigned evacuation area · Administrator gives all clear signal In the cafeteria: · Students evacuate building under direction of teachers and/or noon duty supervisors and report to homeroom evacuation site Outside at nutrition or lunch: · Students proceed to their homeroom evacuation site |
· All persons in classroom execute duck-cover-hold (teacher may need to say DROP) · Administrator gives all clear signal via intercom or phone In the cafeteria at lunch:· If at cafeteria tables, students execute duck-cover-hold · If in line, students execute drop-and-cover. At nutrition or PE:· Students execute drop-and-cover and wait for instructions from duty teacher, PE teacher and/or administrator For severe school-wide disaster: · After duck-cover-hold, classrooms evacuate building, following same procedures as for a fire |
· Students and others in classrooms execute duck-cover-hold (teacher may need to say DROP) · Teacher closes and locks doors and windows and turns off lights · Teacher executes duck-cover-hold · Teacher waits for all clear signal or for more information from site administrator In cafeteria:· Students execute duck-cover-hold and wait for instructions At nutrition, lunch, or PE:· Students execute drop-and-cover, stay down, and follow instructions of duty teachers, PE teachers, and/or site administrator |
· All students outside proceed to nearest classroom or building · Teacher closes all windows and doors, and turns off heating/air conditioning unit In cafeteria:· Students stay inside building and wait for instructions At nutrition:· Students proceed immediately to their next period class At lunch:· Students proceed immediately to their next period class At PE:· Students proceed immediately to the nearest safe structure under the directions of their PE teacher |
