Acceleration
Acceleration
If an object
accelerates, its velocity increases.
Acceleration describes
the change in an objectÕs velocity
from slow to fast.
Deceleration
If the object
decelerates, its velocity decreases.
Units
The units for
acceleration are usually meters per second squared (m/s2).
Calculations
Acceleration can be
calculated with the following formula:

Terminal
Velocity of Falling Objects
Terminal velocity is the
maximum speed a falling object can reach
A falling object will
accelerate until it reaches terminal velocity
After reaching terminal
velocity the falling object will no longer accelerate
All objects accelerate
at the same rate aside from air resistance.
This rate is 9.8 m/s2.
